OUR STORY
Hungary has been long known for its hospitality and delicious cuisine. Food is our language of love that has been setting traditions for centuries warming people's hearts all over the world.
My name is Gyorgyi Kozecz and I was born and raised in Hungary, before coming to Canada 25 years ago. When you pursue a life outside of your country, the few things that most people always miss are culture, food and traditions (of course beside family they may have parted with). A Chimney Cake is a sweet treat/pastry that is especially unique to my country of origin and something that is a rare find outside of it. Not necessarily because it is a complex recipe, but rather it is a time consuming process and an art to make them. After so many years of missing this delicious pastry, and the tradition that I grew up with, now I want to be able to make them for my fellow Hungarian neighbours and as many people as I can in the Niagara Region and beyond.
